You’ve built a business you’re proud of and want to get the word out, but who are you to promote yourself? Why would anyone care?
To that I say: who are you NOT to? Why wouldn’t you let others know about the amazing work you’re doing? After all, if a tree falls in the forest and nobody’s around to promote it, how do you know it really happened?
I know where you've been. You know you're smart and experienced and have a lot to offer the world.
You just need to figure out a way to reach your customers and stay visible out there, and you aren’t sure where to start or if your story really matters. Maybe you’re starting a second career or pursuing a lifelong dream, or maybe you’re an established business owner, but your pipeline is slowing and you’re ready to expand your reach.
Your first thought after reading this might be, “But I have a business to run. I don’t have time to learn all this.”
I get it. That's why I’ve put together knowledge gained from more than 25 years in public relations and marketing in the agency, government, not-for-profit and small-business realms to create a course that helps business owners like you learn the ins and outs of PR so you can get your story out there.
Public Relations to Market Your Business is designed for busy business owners and professionals like you to consume in small chunks over four weeks.
In just one month, you will learn about:
- Strategy - crafting a message to further your business goals
- Content – writing for press releases and social media
Delivery – creating a media list, sending out materials and following up.
The course includes four modules that feature video, resource materials and exercises (yes, you have homework…but you will also have access to a private Facebook group for peer help, plus a 30-minute one-on-one session with me for questions and help).
By the end of this course, you will have:
- Key messages about what makes you special
- Your own media list for ongoing use
- A press release and pitch letter to go with it from easy-to-use templates
- Proven tips for making phone calls to follow up.
This course will help you shift your mindset to see everything you do as a PR opportunity and what’s more, you will already have systems in place to take advantage of every opportunity that presents itself.
